Aries (March 21 - April 20)
Cats born under the sign of Aries love to be the center of
attention. They are quite entertaining, showing off tricks and feats
of cat athleticism when people are watching them. These cats are
brave and not usually afraid of other animals. They are loyal, but
have a tendency to run away from home due to a desire for freedom.
They do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. They can
be chatty.
Taurus (April 21 - May 20)
These cats are good-natured and easy to please. They are mellow and
a tad lazy. A fun afternoon for them is lying in the sun grooming
themselves and then settling in for a 6 hour nap with a full
stomach. They are a bit greedy with food so be careful they don't
gain too much weight. They thrive on petting and extra treats their
owner might wish to give them.
Gemini (May 21 - June 22)
These cats are fun-loving and happy. They are active and love
playtime, although they can be stubborn. These cats are the type to
hide at the foot of the stairs, then spring out and scare the
daylights out of you...as you scream, they run away quite pleased
with themselves. They are nosy and always on the go. Not typically a
lap cat. These kitties do well with other feline playmates to help
them burn off their excess energy.
Cancer (June 22 - July 22)
These kitties are the sensitive sweethearts of the zodiac. They love
nothing more than being cuddled by their owner and petted in a
secure, warm environment. These cats become almost sickly when left
alone, and need daily assurance that they are loved. Their owner's
warm lap and friendly hand scratching behind their ears and under
their chin gives them much happiness.
Leo (July 23 - August 23)
These cats are the kings of the jungle...or the home. They are
rather vain and proud, strutting about as if they are the most
beautiful animal in the world, and they want everybody to know it.
If you have other animals as well, the leonine cat will expect you
to give it preferential treatment. They love the petting and the
cuddling of their owners; indeed, they expect it!
Virgo (August 24 - September 23)
These kitties are playful and curious. They are the type of cat that
you would think of when you imagine a "cool cat". Calm and not easy
to upset, they are cautious and do not give their heart to a human
easily, but once they do, you have a companion for life. They are
somewhat obsessed with grooming themselves, and take an inordinate
amount of time doing it. They never look messy or ruffled.
Libra (September 24 - October 23)
Libra cats are intelligent and easy to love. They need a great deal
of attention and affection from their owners, and can be pests when
it comes to getting it. They are happiest when their owners are
home, paying attention to them and playing with them. These are the
nice kitties that everybody takes a shine to.
Scorpio (October 24 - November 22)
These are the true "alley cats" of the zodiac. Scorpio cats are
loners and want nothing more than their independence. They often
have a hard time establishing close relationships with humans. A
human to them is a provider of food, and nothing more. These kitties
want to come to your house, eat your food, sleep in a warm spot by
themselves, and set off in the nighttime to prowl the neighborhood
and live their secret cat life. If you can respect their
independence, you can coexist with this cat.
Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21)
These cats are easy-going and easy to care for. They don't require
much in order to be a happy housecat. They don't wander much, and
like their safe environment. They are not into fighting over
territory or anything else for that matter. They can be choosy when
it comes to food. They are friendly but not demanding. A great cat
for apartment living.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 20)
Capricorn kitties are serious but friendly. They have a great need
for quiet rest and do not like to be disturbed while they are
sleeping. If you do bug them while they're napping, they become
grouchy and uncooperative. But if they get enough sleep, they will
awaken happy and want nothing more than their owner's attention.
They are usually fixated on their owners and will pine away for them
when left alone.
Aquarius (January 21 - February 18)
These cats are intelligent but temperamental. They are quite good at
getting their owners to give them what they want. Sometimes they are
in a good mood and then they are incredibly charming and fun.
Sometimes they are in a bad mood, and then it's best to leave them
alone. If they are made to be strictly indoors, they can get quite
moody indeed. They need some outside time to explore and wander
freely.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces kitties are very loving, but a bit hedonistic. They are picky
about whom to give their hearts to, and, once given, it's for life.
They want lots of love and attention, lots of good food, and a warm,
safe place to sleep long, leisurely hours. They can get annoyed in a
hurry but are quick to get over it. They will mope and be upset if
their owner leaves them alone for too long. These cats will jump in
their owner's lap, and if put down, they will simply jump back up
again, as many times as necessary to get the attention they crave.
They can be jealous.
